A chat screenshot contains more than the message bubble you intend to share. The header, notification bar, profile photo, quoted replies, timestamps, link previews, and visible fragments of other conversations can reveal personal information.
A 20-second privacy scan before posting
- Contact name and phone number.
- Profile photo and status text.
- Other participants in group chats.
- Quoted messages that reveal unrelated conversation.
- Notification previews at the top of the screen.
- Email addresses, order numbers, addresses, bank details, or IDs inside the messages.
- QR codes, barcodes, invite links, or authentication codes.
- Timestamps or location clues when they matter to privacy.
Blur, pixelate, or blackout?
