Privacy Policy

A clear explanation of what Fitabyte processes, what stays on your device, and where third-party services may receive data.

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to fitabyte.com and the Fitabyte file and image tools. By using the site, you acknowledge the practices described here.

2. Files processed in your browser

Fitabyte is designed to process files locally wherever possible. File compression, Privacy Blur, MarketReady, File Opener, and the image-recognition and editing parts of Image Translator run in your browser. Fitabyte does not intentionally upload or store the files you select for those operations.

Your browser and device provide the memory and processing power needed for these tools. Closing or refreshing a page generally clears the current working state.

3. Image Translator text

Image Translator recognizes text from an image locally in your browser. To translate that recognized text, the text—not the image—is sent through Fitabyte to the MyMemory translation service. Avoid translating confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive text. MyMemory may process request data under its own policies.

4. Technical logs

Our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, response status, and security signals. Retention is controlled by the relevant provider and operational settings.

5. Analytics

If Google Analytics is enabled, it may collect information about visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referral source, and engagement events. In regions where consent is required, non-essential analytics storage should remain disabled until the visitor provides the relevant consent.

6. Advertising

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. Personalized advertising should be used only where permitted and after any required consent. Visitors may see non-personalized or limited ads depending on their location and choices.

7. Cookies and consent choices

Fitabyte may use essential browser storage for site operation. Analytics and advertising technologies are controlled through the consent options made available on the site. See the Cookie Policy for more information.

8. Third-party services

Fitabyte may rely on hosting, security, translation, analytics, advertising, and content-delivery providers. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Links to external sites are not controlled by Fitabyte.

9. Data retention and security

Fitabyte does not maintain user accounts or a server-side history of processed files. Technical logs and third-party service data may be retained according to provider settings and legal obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep backups and avoid using the tools for information that should not be exposed to a web browser or third party.

10. Children

Fitabyte is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children who are below the minimum age required to consent to online data processing in their jurisdiction.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal data, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Because Fitabyte does not create user accounts or intentionally store processed files, we may have limited information with which to identify a request.

12. Contact and changes

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@fitabyte.com. Do not attach sensitive files. This policy may be updated as the service, providers, or legal requirements change; the date above shows the latest revision.
