Resize Images Online
Resize an image to specific pixel dimensions while keeping its proportions. Save a resized photo without a server upload.
Let’s resize image.
Add image files to get started.
Three steps. One less task.
- 01
Open the image and check the destination's pixel requirements.
- 02
Enter the width. Keep proportions enabled, or disable it to enter a separate height.
- 03
Choose JPG, PNG or WebP, resize, and check the exported dimensions.
Good to know
Pixel dimensions and file size are different. Resize to change dimensions; use Compress image when an upload form sets a KB limit. Enlarging an image does not create missing detail.
Resize an image to a required pixel width and height
With Keep proportions enabled, height is calculated from the original aspect ratio. To produce an exact width and height, turn it off and enter both values; this can stretch the picture if the new ratio differs. Crop first when you need a different shape without stretching the subject.
The width control accepts 1–12,000 pixels, with a 32-megapixel limit on the finished image. JPG, PNG and WebP are available as outputs. Resizing changes pixel dimensions, not a specified KB or MB budget; use Compress image afterward if an upload form limits both. Enlarging a small source does not recover missing detail.
A few things you might ask.
Why did the height change when I entered a width?
Keep proportions derives the height from the source image. Disable it only when you intend to set both dimensions independently, or crop to the desired ratio before resizing.
Why is my resized PNG still large?
Pixel dimensions and file size are different limits. A detailed image or lossless PNG can still use many bytes. Try JPG for an opaque photo or compress the exported copy, then inspect it.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
This tool processes files on your device. Moving a file between Fitabyte tools uses a one-use browser handoff that expires after 10 minutes; abandoned handoffs are cleared on your next visit. Your original stays unchanged.
Can I use this tool on my phone?
Use a current browser and keep the tab open during processing. Available memory and processing speed depend on your device; start with a smaller file for large PDFs or video.
