A LITTLE GUIDANCE

Three steps. One less task.

  1. 01

Add an image and start with Full image or Center crop.

  2. 02

Adjust the left edge, top edge, crop width and crop height using the preview.

  3. 03

Choose the output format, export, and inspect every edge of the saved image.

Good to know

Start with the centered preset or adjust each edge manually. Areas outside the preview are removed from the output. Cropping does not stretch the remaining image. Keep the original for other crops.

Crop unwanted edges without stretching the image

The crop controls use percentages of the original image. Left edge and Top edge set where the kept area begins; Crop width and Crop height set its size. Any part extending beyond the source edge is clipped. Center crop starts at 10% from the top and left and keeps 80% of each dimension.

The result contains the kept pixels without stretching them and can be saved as JPG, PNG or WebP. Use Resize image afterward for exact pixel dimensions. Cropping is useful for scanner borders or unwanted screenshot panels, but private information inside the kept area still needs to be covered separately.

A few things you might ask.

Does Center crop make a square image?

No. Keeping 80% of both source dimensions retains its original aspect ratio. Adjust width and height separately while checking the preview if you need a different shape.

Can I crop private text out of a screenshot?

Yes, when the text lies entirely outside the kept area. Review the exported image for any remaining names, notifications or identifying details. Use Privacy Blur for information that remains inside the crop.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

This tool processes files on your device. Moving a file between Fitabyte tools uses a one-use browser handoff that expires after 10 minutes; abandoned handoffs are cleared on your next visit. Your original stays unchanged.

Can I use this tool on my phone?

Use a current browser and keep the tab open during processing. Available memory and processing speed depend on your device; start with a smaller file for large PDFs or video.
