Clear a PDF's author, title and document properties
PDF properties can include an author, title, subject, keywords, creator application and producer. Fitabyte clears these common fields, removes the document-level XMP metadata stream and resets the creation and modification dates to 1 January 1970. A PDF viewer may display that reset date instead of a blank date.
The pages are not rasterized by this cleanup tool. Visible text and images remain, including any names or addresses printed on the page. It does not promise to remove annotations, attachments, embedded-file metadata or every identifying clue. Editing a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signature; keep the original.

A few things you might ask.
Is removing PDF metadata the same as redacting a PDF?
No. Clearing the Author property does not erase the author's name from a page. This tool is not a PDF redaction or complete sanitization tool. Inspect visible content and any attachments separately.
Why does the cleaned PDF show a 1970 date?
The processor replaces the common creation and modification dates with the Unix epoch, 1 January 1970. A viewer may show this date or apply its local timezone. It is a reset value, not the original document date.
How can I check the result?
Open the downloaded copy in a PDF reader and inspect its Document Properties. Check Author, Title, Subject and Keywords, and review each page. Reopening it in another editor can add that editor's own metadata when you save again.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
