Extract Pages from a PDF
Extract selected pages from a PDF into a new document. Enter page numbers or ranges and save only the pages you need.
Let’s extract pdf pages.
Add pdf files to get started.
Three steps. One less task.
- 01
Open the PDF and identify page positions starting from 1.
- 02
Enter pages or ascending ranges, such as 1, 3-5, in the order you want them.
- 03
Extract and check that the new PDF contains every intended page.
Good to know
Page numbers start at 1 and refer to the actual page order, which may differ from printed labels. Extraction creates a separate PDF; the original document stays unchanged.
Keep selected PDF pages together in a new document
Extraction creates one PDF containing only the selected pages. For example, 1, 3-5 keeps the first, third, fourth and fifth pages. Entries are processed in the order written, and repeated numbers create repeated pages; the tool does not automatically sort or deduplicate your selection.
Use physical page positions rather than numbers printed in headers or footers. Page copying avoids rendering the document as JPG images, but the new document is not a guarantee of preserved forms, signatures, bookmarks or attachments. Keep the source when these features matter.
A few things you might ask.
What is the difference between Extract and Split PDF?
Extract combines your selection into one new PDF. Split creates a ZIP containing separate files, with each comma-separated group becoming its own file.
Why did I get duplicate or unexpected pages?
Selections preserve the order and repetitions you enter. Review overlapping ranges and repeated numbers, and count from the first PDF page even if its printed page label is different.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
This tool processes files on your device. Moving a file between Fitabyte tools uses a one-use browser handoff that expires after 10 minutes; abandoned handoffs are cleared on your next visit. Your original stays unchanged.
Can I use this tool on my phone?
Use a current browser and keep the tab open during processing. Available memory and processing speed depend on your device; start with a smaller file for large PDFs or video.
