Good to know
The text appears horizontally across the middle of each page at 25% opacity. Use a short Latin-character label, up to 150 characters, and review its placement. A watermark does not prevent editing or copying.
Add a visible text watermark to every PDF page
The tool adds the same horizontal text at the center of every page, using a muted purple color at 25% opacity. Text is limited to 150 characters and is sized to the page width. Placement, opacity and font are fixed rather than individually adjustable.
The built-in Helvetica font supports a limited character set; unsupported characters trigger a request to use Latin characters. A watermark labels the document visually. It does not redact underlying text, encrypt the file or stop someone from copying its contents. Editing a signed original can also affect its signature validity.
A few things you might ask.
Can I use a logo or a diagonal watermark?
This tool supports a horizontal text watermark only. Image watermarks, diagonal placement and custom positioning are not provided.
Why does my watermark text fail?
Empty text is rejected, and the built-in font cannot encode every script or symbol. Try a shorter label using supported Latin characters, then inspect the export.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
This tool processes files on your device. Moving a file between Fitabyte tools uses a one-use browser handoff that expires after 10 minutes; abandoned handoffs are cleared on your next visit. Your original stays unchanged.
Can I use this tool on my phone?
Use a current browser and keep the tab open during processing. Available memory and processing speed depend on your device; start with a smaller file for large PDFs or video.
